Specimen Requirements

Draw blood in a lavender-top (EDTA) tube, and send 4 mL of EDTA whole blood. (Clotted specimen is not acceptable.) Forward unprocessed whole blood promptly at ambient temperature only. Do not refrigerate.

Send 2 mL Vaginal Drainage in an EDTA tube.
