If vitamin B12 level is also requested, order Vitamin B12 and Folate, Plasma or Serum (LAB2405).

Specimen Requirements

Draw blood in a gold-top serum gel tube. (Hemolyzed specimen is not acceptable.) Spin down and send 2 mL of serum.
