Specimen Requirements

Specimen should arrive within 30 minutes of collection.

Submit total ejaculate in a clean, dry container with close-fitting lid. (Specimen collected in condom is not acceptable.) Forward promptly at ambient temperature only. Specimen must remain warmed at 37° C during transport.

Note:

1. Patient should have 2 to 7 days of sexual abstinence at time of semen collection for accurate results.

2. Specimen received >1 hour after collection may give misleading results.
