Test Code LAB2617 DRUG SCREEN, URINE, NURSERY ONLY

Methodology

This is only a screening test for the following drug classes: alcohol, amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, cocaine, fentanyl, opiates, methadone, oxycodone, and phencyclidine (PCP). If any of the screening tests are presumptively positive, confirmatory testing will be sent to Mayo Medical Reference Laboratories at an additional charge.

Specimen Requirements

Specimen must arrive within 24 hours of collection.

 

Minimum volume: 1 mL from a random urine collection in a plastic urine container (yellow urine tube preferred, plain red top or other sterile container acceptable.) No preservative.

 

NOTE: 10 mL of urine is desirable in order to have sufficient volume for confirmatory testing if ordered.

BARBITURATE SCREEN:  NEGATIVE  (CUTOFF 200 ng/mL)

CANNABINOIDS SCREEN:  NEGATIVE  (CUTOFF 50 ng/mL)           

COCAINE METAB. SCREEN:  NEGATIVE  (CUTOFF 300 ng/mL)    

FENTANYL SCREEN: NEGATIVE (CUTOFF 5 ng/mL)           

OPIATE SCREEN:  NEGATIVE  (CUTOFF 300 ng/mL)                  

PHENCYCLIDINE (PCP) SCREEN:  NEGATIVE  (CUTOFF 25 ng/mL)           

METHADONE SCREEN:  NEGATIVE  (CUTOFF 300 ng/mL)          

OXYCODONE SCREEN:  NEGATIVE  (CUTOFF 300 ng/mL)
