Specimen Requirements
Specimen must be tested within 4 hours of draw if at ambient temperature or within 24 hours of draw if at refrigerated temperature.
Draw blood in a lavender-top (EDTA) tube, and send 4 mL of EDTA whole blood refrigerated. For pediatric specimens, draw 2 full, lavender-top (EDTA) MICROTAINERS. (Clotted or hemolyzed specimen is not acceptable.)
