Specimen Requirements

Draw blood in a red and black tiger-top serum gel tube. (Hemolyzed specimen is not acceptable.) Spin down and send 2 mL of serum refrigerated.

Note: 1. A special form is required for this test, please call Peninsula Regional Medical Center at 410-543-7386 ext. 4226 to obtain form prior to submitting specimen.

2. Specify “Toxocara canis (Visceral Larva Migrans) Serology” on request form.
