Test Code IMM154 Rh Immune Globulin (RhIg) 28 Weeks (for Physician’s Office)
Methodology
Includes Blood Type, ABO and Rh Type (BTY) and Antibody Screen, Blood (ABST).
If appropriate, RhIg will be issued to patient for injection at physician’s office. Once specimen has been drawn and Rh type determined, product will be issued to patient.

Specimen Requirements
Draw blood in a large, pink-top (K2 EDTA) tube, and send 6 mL of K2 EDTA whole blood. (Clotted or hemolyzed specimen is not acceptable.)
Note: 1. If a blood type and antibody screen has been performed at Peninsula Regional Medical Center within 21 days, no specimen is required for product issue.
2. Physician’s office is responsible to arrange a time with patient for product to be administered.
3. Label specimen with patient’s first and last name, medical record number, date of draw, and phlebotomist’s initials.
